The Affordable Connectivity Program has ended
The federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) ended on June 1, 2024, after Congress did not renew its funding. The FCC is no longer accepting ACP applications, and the program is not providing monthly discounts. If Congress restores funding, we'll update this page.
In the meantime, you don't have to go without affordable service. EcoMobile's prepaid plans start at just $10/month with no contract and no credit check, and qualifying households may be eligible for the federal Lifeline program through EcoMobile. Explore your options below.

Your affordable options now that ACP has ended
Although the ACP discount is no longer available, there are still ways to keep your phone bill low with EcoMobile.
1. Low-cost prepaid plans. EcoMobile prepaid plans start at $10/month and include unlimited talk & text on a nationwide 5G network — with no contract, no credit check, and no surprise overage fees. Every plan also includes unlimited international calling to 100+ countries. View all wireless plans.
2. The federal Lifeline program. Lifeline is the FCC's long-standing benefit that predates ACP and is still active. It provides a monthly discount on phone or internet service for eligible low-income households. You may qualify if your income is at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, or if you participate in programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, Federal Public Housing Assistance, or certain Tribal programs. EcoMobile is a participating Lifeline provider — contact us to see whether Lifeline service is available in your area.
3. Bring your own phone and save. Keep the device you already own and switch to EcoMobile with a SIM card or eSIM — there's nothing new to buy. Check if your phone is compatible.
FAQs: ACP and your options
What happened to the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)?
The ACP was a federal benefit program run by the FCC that gave eligible low-income households a monthly discount on internet or wireless service. Due to a lack of additional funding from Congress, the program ended on June 1, 2024. It is no longer accepting applications or providing discounts.
Can I still apply for ACP or receive the discount?
No. Because the program ended in June 2024, new applications are not being accepted and the monthly ACP discount is no longer applied to any account. If Congress provides new funding in the future, the FCC will announce how the program would resume, and we'll update this page.
What are my options now that ACP has ended?
You have several ways to keep your bill low. EcoMobile prepaid plans start at $10/month with no contract or credit check. Qualifying households may also be eligible for the federal Lifeline program through EcoMobile. And if you bring your own phone, there's no device cost to switch. View all plans to compare.
Is the Lifeline program still available?
Yes. Lifeline is a separate, long-standing FCC program that predates ACP and remains active. It provides a monthly discount on phone or internet service for eligible low-income households. Eligibility is generally based on income at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, or participation in programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, or Federal Public Housing Assistance. EcoMobile is a participating Lifeline provider — contact us to check availability in your area.
How much do EcoMobile plans cost without ACP?
EcoMobile prepaid plans start at $10/month for unlimited talk and text plus 2GB of data, and go up to $50/month for 50GB. There's also a $15/month talk-and-text plan with unlimited international calling to 100+ countries. Every plan runs on a nationwide 5G network with no contract and no credit check.
Can I keep my phone and number if I switch to EcoMobile?
Yes. Most unlocked GSM phones are compatible with EcoMobile, and you can keep your existing number when you transfer. Activate with a SIM card or, on supported devices, an eSIM — you can be connected within minutes. Check your phone's compatibility to get started.
